Genetics and biotechnology is certainly one of the most rapidly developing industry sectors, though often overlooked by many people. Especially there has been great progress in life extension supplements and treatments in recent years. Aubrey de Grey, a co-founder of the SENS research foundation, sees the human body as a complex biological machine. Hence aging is nothing else than the accumulation of small damages to the human body over longer periods of time, which can be fought against by various bio scientific means.
