The Autumn Defense - The Sun In California (Acoustic)

This timeless track by John Stirratt and Pat Sansone, collectively known as The Autumn Defense, is the epitome of what we hope to capture at DIO Fest.

John and Pat came up to the mountain to perform a stripped-down set in our amphitheater on Saturday evening, but graced us with an acoustic version of their classic ‘The Sun In California’ on Friday afternoon. An early spring breeze with a lazy afternoon light offered a monumental backdrop, while their fabled tone celebrated the summit views.

Excitement and eagerness filled the air with their arrival, and they were happy to serenade a few onlookers by the hillside with a modest warm-up jam. It was the perfect way to kick-off our 2018 event and we’re humbled to share the scene.
