MINI Cooper Rear Brake Pad & Rotor Replacement DIY (2007-2012 R56 MINI Cooper, Coopers, JCW)

Описание к видео MINI Cooper Rear Brake Pad & Rotor Replacement DIY (2007-2012 R56 MINI Cooper, Coopers, JCW)

►While not as large as the fronts, your MINI's rear brakes are just as important. Failing to replace the rear brake pads and rotors on time can mean a nearly 50% reduction in braking power. That's dangerous to anyone on the road, so don't wait.

Brake discs and pads typically last between 60,000 and 100,000 miles. Luckily, you'll be able to hear, feel, and see when it's time to replace those parts. Once the pad material has worn away, the metal backing plate will grind against the disc, loudly grinding and gouging the rotor face. Sometimes, the disc can warp early, leading to intense juddering through the pedal and/or steering wheel. In both cases, you'll need to get your hands dirty to get your vehicle back to 100%.

In this video, Mike Hidalgo, FCP Euro's Professional DIY'er, replaces the rear rotors and pads on an R56 MINI Cooper.
