Composers Out of the Studio - Episode 1 - Hal Rosenfeld

Описание к видео Composers Out of the Studio - Episode 1 - Hal Rosenfeld

Composers Out of the Studio is a new series in which I'm talking to fellow composers and talking about everything you need to know to make it as a successful media composer. After a year stuck in quarantine, it's a chance to get out of the dark studio and appreciate the great outdoors while learning from so many great composers!

In the first episode of Composers Out of the Studio, I’m meeting composer and percussionist Hal Rosenfeld, to answer the question: How exactly does a composer get their start?

Hal Rosenfeld is a percussionist, composer, arranger, and orchestrator whose work can be heard in over 100 films, television shows, and video games.

He was a part of the Emmy Award-winning music team for FX’s Fosse/Verdon working alongside Hamilton’s Alex Lacamoire as music producer on the series’ songs and score.

As a percussionist, you’ve heard him on projects like The Greatest Showman, Fortnite, Series of Unfortunate Events, and Zombieland. He’s worked on projects for Elton John, the Jonas Brothers, Hans Zimmer and Ringo Starr.

As a composer, arranger, and orchestrator, he has contributed to Disney’s Mulan and the upcoming film In the Heights.
