Traditional delay-based combo strings are basically non-existent in Ninja Gaiden. Rarely do they ever appear in a weapon's moves list and they don't typically lead to flashy unique follow-up attacks similar to those found in other Action Games. Despite this, they're still a core component of the gameplay in Ninja Gaiden. I hope this video helps explain why that is.
