He has been suffering from corneal opacity (scar) in his right eye for the past 13 years due to trauma. His right eye's vision has been impaired since then.

In such cases, the cloudy cornea has to be replaced with a donated cornea (received from a donor's eye).

He recently underwent a Thickness Corneal Transplant and regained his vision in his left eye.
