The Loggerhead Classic is more than just a longboard contest—it’s a full-blown celebration of surfing, music, art, and community, all happening at the place that started it all for me: the Jacksonville Beach Pier.

I kicked off this event about eight years ago, and we’re now rolling into our 6th edition—each year building on the last, growing in size, energy, and stoke. Last year’s event was our biggest yet, with three nights of live music, local art, and good times, plus two full days of professional longboard competition right at the pier.

The Loggerhead Classic is inspired by the legends who helped shape the North Florida surf scene—people like Paul West (RIP) and Mitch Kaufman—mentors who laid the groundwork for what this community has become. It’s also shaped through my travels to world-class surf contests like the Vans Duct Tape Invitational, and the festival vibes of events like Wanee and Purple Hatters Ball in Live Oak, FL. This is my way of tying it all together—surf, art, music, and the amazing people who bring it all to life.

At its core, this event is about creating a platform for professional logging on the East Coast while also shining a spotlight on the talent and culture that make our local scene so special—from artists and musicians to small businesses and salty locals.

It’s a weekend to reconnect, celebrate, and share what we love about this coastline, and I’d love for you to be a part of it.
