The expert clinician diagnoses the multiple components of a complex shoulder presentation in a baseball pitcher, who is also an overhead manual worker. The role of the entire kinetic chain involved in a throwing athlete is assessed and a comprehensive management plan integrating contemporary research findings relevant to the throwing shoulder is demonstrated and discussed.
Specific shoulder exercises integrated with kinetic chain considerations for the throwing athlete are demonstrated. The patients diagnosis, contributing factors, management plan and prognosis are explored in the post assessment interview.
Wendy Braybon, FACP

Specialist Sports Physiotherapist (sub-specialty shoulder), Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.

Wendy is a Specialist Sports Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapy in 2010). She is also a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and teaches on the Masters programs at Melbourne and La Trobe Universities.
Wendy has extensive experience in elite sport having worked at the Victorian Institute of Sport since 1992 and has represented Australia at five Olympic games as a physiotherapist. Wendy has a particular interest in shoulder and elbow injuries.
Wendy currently works with the Australian Women's Gymnastic team and at a private sports medicine practice in Melbourne, Australia.

Jane Rooney, FACP

Specialist Sports Physiotherapist (sub-specialty knee), Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Jane is a Specialist Sports Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapy in 2009) and a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) and Post Grad Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Jane is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Melbourne University and a guest lecturer at La Trobe University and teaches and is a clinical supervisor on both undergraduate and post graduate programs. Jane is also a facilitator and examiner for the Australian College of Physiotherapists.

Jane has extensive clinical experience in sports medicine and has a particular interest in knee injuries and rehabilitation. She has worked with many international, national and state level athletes and currently works at Prahran Sports Medicine Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
