Known for its dense oak forests, rare wildlife, and the breathtaking Zero Point viewpoint, Binsar is truly a paradise for nature lovers, trekkers, and photographers.

📍 About Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

Established in 1988, Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary was created to protect the dwindling broadleaf oak forests of the Central Himalayas. Spread over 47 square kilometers, the sanctuary sits at an altitude ranging from 900 m to 2,500 m, offering ever-changing landscapes, cool weather, and stunning panoramas.

This peaceful haven was once the summer capital of the Chand Kings of Kumaon, and today it stands as one of the most scenic forest reserves in India.
