NHR Tax Breaks Are ENDING! Shutdown of the NHR Tax Regime in Portugal - updates, financial outlook & application deadline information from legal experts...
In this session, we cover the important announcement made by the Portuguese government regarding the termination of the Non-Habitual Resident (NHR) tax scheme.
Those benefitting from the NHR scheme are able to enjoy paying lower taxes or in some cases, tax exemptions & has therefore been an attractive proposition for many when deciding on where to relocate or retire. For those for whom it can apply, as it stands, it is still possible to apply for this status, but if all goes ahead with the scheme’s withdrawal, time is running out.
Dr. Daniel Reis from Reis & Pellicano International Lawyers & Gilda Pereira from Ei! Migration Agency join us to bring their perspectives on this sudden & unanticipated announcement.
