The Ivory Coast have been training ahead of Wednesday's Africa Cup of Nations game with Algeria as they look to make it three wins out of three in the group stages.

Having already secured qualification to the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations the goal for the Ivory Coast in their final group match against Algeria on Wednesday will be to maintain their perfect record.

The Elephants stumbled out of the blocks against Togo in their first Group D match but still claimed a narrow 2-1 win before putting Tunisia to the sword 3-0 last time out as they sent a message to their rivals.

A point against already-eliminated Algeria in Rustenburg will see them win Group D, meaning they will face the nation who finishes runner-up in Group C in the last eight.

That could be any one of Burkina Faso, Zambia, Nigeria or Ethiopia, as all four are still in with a chance of making it through to the knockout stages.

On the face of it, coach Sabri Lamouchi's side ought to win comfortably, as Algeria have not won - or scored - in their last four matches, while Ivory Coast have won their last four, scoring 12 goals in the process.

Algeria will be playing for pride only, but it will take a shock result - with Ivory Coast losing heavily - to allow either Togo or Tunisia to snatch top spot.

Togo and Tunisia will square off against one another at the same time in Nelspruit in what is likely to be the battle for second place.
