What's good everyone!? In today's video, I find myself in Stonecrest, GA at The Mall at Stonecrest. I mentioned this former Sears location in my Abandoned Sears Auto Center video (LINKED BELOW) and that it closed alongside the Sears store in January of 2018. This store's physical appearance gave off vibes that it had been struggling for a few years. Many of the mall's other anchors appeared to be doing well, while the Sears struggled. There were a few shots of the Macy's location at this mall, and it appeared to be doing very well. It honestly is a shame every time I see a Sears and begin to think of their story. I have mentioned it in previous videos that the story of Sears is a very sad and unfortunate one. I do wish that fate would've given them a better outcome, but sometimes what happens is meant to happen for a reason. Rest easy, Stonecrest Sears. It has been announced that this former Sears location will become a SeaQuest Aquarium. It will be the largest aquarium that SeaQuest operates. It is good to hear that new life will be returning to the Mall at Stonecrest, (well literally) but in my mind, the legacy of Sears will always live on. Thank You All for Watching!
