UGH! What a way to end my day. The truck is starting to misfire slightly at the red light and I've shifted to neutral. The video starts just before the light turns green and I put it back in drive. You can hear the engine power up as I put my foot in it, then lose power as a warning "Reduced Engine Power" comes up on the dash. The voltage display at the bottom shows when it actually shut down on me, and hasn't run since. Just glad there was a place to pull off from Friday afternoon traffic.

Amazing how fast this came out of nowhere, and went from running fine to waiting on a tow (that couldn't carry my utility trailer that I was pulling).

After pulling the intake manifold and the VCV from the top of the HPFP, I found tons of metal shavings, letting me know I'm in for a BIG bill...

Update: 27 days from the time it quit me till it rolled out of the shop under its own power again. Scheduling was a pain on top of how long it took to get bids back (5 requested, only 3 returned).

Update 2: Just before the warranty expired on the fuel system replacement, I purchased and installed a S&S Disaster Prevention Kit. This will prevent destruction of the entire fuel system if the new CP4 pump should fail, and prevent metal from being sent back to the fuel tank as it adds a spin-on filter to the return line.
