Welcome to Lattix 11.6:
Here are three new features:
We have redesigned the create subsystems dialog box. Now you can easily add multiple subsystems to a DSM. You can even cut and paste from a separate document. This makes creating a DSM from scratch simple and painless.
We added three new metrics to Lattix: Path Complexity, Many-to-Many Strength and Path Ratio.
Path Complexity like cyclomatic complexity is a measure of the complexity of your software application. The goal is to keep this number as low as possible. Elements with high Path Complexity are harder to test and more prone to bugs.
Many-to-Many Strength – this metric finds areas of your code that have many-to-many relationships. Many-to-many relationships are usually a sign that entities (like classes) require further decomposition. These are good areas to refactor.
Path Ratio is the percentage of paths in your code that are in cycles. The goal is to have this number as close to zero as possible. Paths that are in cycles are harder to test and understand
We also updated the look and feel of Lattix on the MAC.
