Using our C3 3” micro ceiling speaker, a mixer amplifier, and some handy visuals, he’ll provide a clear demonstration of how to daisy chain speakers together. One of the fantastic features of a 70-volt distributed audio system is the ability to connect as many speakers as you want, provided you have a powerful enough amplifier and the right speaker cable.

Daisy chaining, in a nutshell, is all about wiring speakers in parallel. Typically on the back of a 70-volt speaker, you’ll see positive and negative inputs and outputs, but how they look can vary depending on the speaker model.

Before you begin, make sure that your amplifier has enough power to handle all of the speakers that you want to connect and that the tap settings are where you want them. Here's how to daisy chain your speakers:

1. Connect the positive output on your amplifier to the positive input of the first speaker.
2. Connect the negative or common output from the amplifier to the negative input of the first speaker.
3. Once the first speaker is connected, you can link your audio source, whether it's music, sound masking, or any other signal. Test to ensure all connections are secure and accurate.

Now, let's move on to the next speaker:

4. From the first speaker, take the positive output and connect it to the positive input of the second speaker.
5. Do the same with the negative, connecting the negative output of the first speaker to the negative input of the second speaker.

Repeat this process for the remaining speakers in your chain, maintaining the positive-to-positive and negative-to-negative connections. When you reach the last speaker, there's no need to do anything with the output. Your speakers are now connected.
