Mount Ulap Overnight Camping Experience (with drone flights)

Having one of the most scenic and easy trails, Mount Ulap in Itogon, Benguet, Philippines I can say is the perfect mountain to hike for the first time for beginners. Plus it's also ideal for those of you not at ease doing the "call of nature" by the bushes because acceptable toilets are available near the campgrounds.

Estimated Continuous Hike Duration: 5-6 hours (ascend till Peak 3); 2 hours (descend to Barangay Sta Fe)

HOW TO GET THERE?

Take a bus from Manila going to Baguio (fare starting from P445). When in Baguio, proceed to the jeep terminal located at Lacandula street to take the jeep heading to Barangay Ampucao. First trip out from Baguio is by 5:00am. (Fare P30)

IMPORTANT THINGS TO TAKE NOTE BEFORE THE HIKE:

1. Since Mount Ulap receives huge amount of hikers everyday, especially during weekends and holidays, RESERVATION IS REQUIRED before going there.

2. Before starting the hike, you'll need to proceed to the jump-off point in Barangay Ampucao for the Registration.

Registration Fee - P100 / pax

3. A guide is mandatory for every group / individual. 1 guide for max of 7 people.

P600 - dayhike
P1000 - overnight

4. Porters are available to help you with your bags. This is an optional service.

P500 per bag - day hike
P800 per bag - overnight hike

5. For overnight campers, the fee is P800 per group of 10.

6. Earliest time to start hiking Mount Ulap is by 430am.
