In the RUN-EU Impact Showcase Challenge 2025, all RUN-EU universities were invited to share projects that show how RUN-EU supports regional development, innovation, and community engagement.

Gene Vangampelaere from the Howest University of Applied Sciences in Belgium introduces the RUN-EU MOOC Prompt Engineering, highlighting how generative AI is reshaping learning, work, and creativity. With the growing need for students and professionals to develop safe, ethical, and effective prompting skills, this MOOC offered a short, flexible online learning experience with instructional modules, real-life examples, and hands-on exercises that guide participants from the basics of AI to crafting stronger prompts. More than 1,000 learners across Europe are already applying these skills – building apps, enriching teaching practices, and exploring new research workflows – as RUN-EU fosters collaboration, expertise sharing, and innovation across its partner institutions.
