Описание к видео Over & During [How to Use Over & During]

In this lesson, learn how to use "over" and "during" to sound fluent in English.

Both "over" and "during" can be used interchangeably in a very specific context.

However, the majority of the time "over" and "during" aren't interchangeable and you have to use one or the other depending on the context.

"Over" and "during" are interchangeable when you're talking about: the weekend, holidays, seasons, vacation, and meals.

For example, you can say "we went to the beach over/during the weekend".

In this context, they can be used interchangeably.

However, there is a subtle difference in meaning. "Over" sounds like the entire period and "during" sound like a specific point in time within a longer period. Most native speakers ignore this subtle difference and use them interchangeably.

Outside of this context, you need to choose "over" or "during" specific to the sentence.

By the end of the lesson, you'll feel confident using "over" and "during".
