Bio: Alex leads an array of teams at Spotify that are the machine behind the company's explosive growth of users. He is also responsible for the paying subscriber business from which Spotify derives most of its revenues (Spotify Premium), as well as many of the company's strategic integrations and partnerships, including Facebook. Alex is the driving force behind key marketing programmes that drove the record-breaking number of streams recently experienced by Daft Punk and Avicii, to name just two. Since joining the company over 3 years ago, Alex also started the New Markets team that has successfully launched Spotify in numerous new countries including Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and more. Before joining Spotify, Alex was a key member of the leadership team at King, the world's largest games developer. At King, he started the company's Facebook and mobile games business, known for monster hits like Bubble Witch Saga and Candy Crush Saga. Alex also built a publishing arm that had commercial relationships with over 100 indie developers throughout the world. Alex holds an M.Sc. in Economics from Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden.
