This is the intro to Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys. If you've never heard of it, it's because it suffered a fate worse than death: obscurity. Simian only aired in syndication, likely only around 1996 to 1998, and it never got a home media release to call its own. This has lead to the existing episodes being relatively low quality, sourced from rips that are decades old at this point. And it's a dingus shame, since after finding it, I absolutely love this show. Something about the plots, the humor, the animation, it just hits for me. As such, I've decided to start uploading what high quality episodes and the like I have from it.

For now, this is likely the highest quality version of the intro you can get. Comes from a tape with hi-fi audio, video quality that has held up over time, and doesn't have a ratings bug. However, to achieve a logoless copy, I actually had to splice two recordings together.. which was difficult, since it seemed like the station these episodes aired on liked to screw with the aspect ratio every time it aired. Said splice is at 0:45, and it's barely noticeable thankfully, but even still, I feel it's worth mentioning. Regardless, this is still a much needed upgrade from the rips currently on YouTube.
