जम्मू के डोडा में आतंकवादियों के साथ मुठभेड़ में सेना के 1 अधिकारी समेत 4 जवान शहीद हो गए. इस एनकाउंटर में दार्जिलिंग के रहने वाले कैप्टन बृजेश थापा भी शहीद हुए. कैप्टन थापा उस टीम की अगुवाई कर रहे थे जो आतंकियों से लोहा ले रही थी. उनकी मौत की खबर सुनने के बाद से मां का रो-रोकर बुरा हाल है, लेकिन इस बात का गर्व है कि बेटे ने देश के लिए जान दी है. कैप्टन बृजेश थापा की मां नीलिमा थापर कहती हैं कि वह मार्च में घर आया था. तीन-चार दिन रहने के बाद चला गया था. वह फिर जुलाई में आने की बात कहकर गया था. वह वहां बहुत खुश था. रविवार को ही उसने मुझसे और अपने पापा से बात की थी.
