Clairo - Softly (Governors Ball, NYC 6/12/22)

After having missed Clairo on tour, the best I was able to get was a festival appearance at Governors Ball. They packed her on to the main stage with a ton of rap head liners and the vibe of the crowd couldn't have been worse. I think tons of fans were camping out for J. Cole at the end of the night and everyone was packed so tight and pushy. Carlo and I seemed be the only Clairo fans on the rail and we were being crushed during the sets leading up to Clairo's. Tons of fans were passing out and having to be pulled over the gate for medical emergencies and I thought I might even die there. I was protecting the girl in front of me, but eventually moved off next to her when places shifted. Some creep ended up grabbing her ass, and security took that creep out right quick SMFH.

Clairo's set turned out pretty fun despite some technical issues with sound. But as soon as the set ended, Carlo and I just jumped the barrier and escaped to catch Japanese Breakfast's set on another stage.

The vibe was completely the opposite. Everyone was respecting each other's space and everyone was chill and vibing to the music instead of trying to kill each other lol.
