NEWPORT DUNES WATERFRONT RV RESORT REVIEW - Newport Beach, CA

Описание к видео NEWPORT DUNES WATERFRONT RV RESORT REVIEW - Newport Beach, CA

The Newport Dunes Waterfront RV Resort in Newport Beach in Southern California is HUGE (380 sites!), with lots of amenities including an inflatable water park play area, SUP (stand up paddleboarding), pedal boats, kayak, an 18’ electric boat rental, summer outdoor movies, and a private beach. We did the inflatable obstacle course ($9 in the summer & $6 hour Spring/Fall/Winter for resort guests was very reasonable), and the SUPs ($20 hour summer, $14 off season).

They have a variety of categories of sites; 10 types for RVs, plus cottages and Tent sites. In my opinion all of the sites are on the small side with the exception of the beachfront sites ($$$). Oh, and if you don’t have an RV, you can rent one! The Resort is also open to the public for day-use for a fee. Rates here are not cheap! It was definitely a bit of a splurge for us even in off-season. There’s also a fee of $2 per day per pet and they do have some restrictions on dog breeds. Their 1250 sqft Beachfront Sites and 1575 sqft Supersites are their most popular…and most expensive. You get all that grassy area all to yourself. Plenty of room for the kids and dogs to play and sit outside and BBQ with a view of the bay. Dogs still need to stay on leash as it is not completely fenced in. Even with being pricey, they are very popular!

We stayed in site 3102 which is the yellow section on the site map and the 2nd row. We visited in September 2020. It was really the perfect time to as it was Fall rates, but things like the obstacle course were still open. We paid $165 per night which was the weekend Fall rate for our category of site. You can pay less and be further back. They do have a Good Sam discount if your are a GS member.

In addition to the amenities already mentioned, the resort has all the standard things like a pool & spa, laundry room, clubhouse, playground, and plenty of places to ride your bike on the back bay. The Back Bay Loop is about 10.5 miles, but I did an out-and-back ride of about 6-7 miles to the Back Bay lookout which was really nice, mostly flat except for a bit right before the lookout. This is a great resource if you’d like to read more about the bike path:
