Such a mysterious book which gives information about all the divine weapons used in the war of Ramayana and Mahabharata, the name of which hardly anyone has heard! The way in ancient Indian history There are four main Vedas, in the same way there are four Upvedas too! And one of these four Upvedas is Dhanurveda. Shri Ram's guru Rishi Vashishtha had written this book. He has also described the art of warfare, weaponry and different types of weapons in this book. In Dhanurveda, weapons are divided into four parts. The first is the free weapon, to use this weapon it has to be released from the hands, like Shri Krishna's Sudarshan Chakra! Second is Amukt Astra, to use these weapons one has to always hold them in the hand, like Bhima's mace. The third is Muktamukta Astra, these weapons can be used in both the ways, either by holding them in the hands or leaving them in the hands, like an axe. And the fourth type is Yantra-free weapons, a special instrument is used to release these weapons.
