From the original wooden structure, it was rebuilt in 1897 into a Taoist architecture building, with a 7-storey pagoda for the Goddess of Mercy (Kuan Yin). It is said to be one of the most perfectly proportioned pagodas outside Mainland China. Visitors are welcome to climb its many steps to enjoy spectacular views of the Rejang and the Sibu Waterfront, especially at sunset.
