Winter driving in Lofoten, Norway

Winter driving conditions in Lofoten, Norway. This was filmed in February 2022 where E10, the main road through the Lofoten islands, was closed for two days due to avalanches, wind and snow.

The conditions are not bad in this video: There is only light snow, there is no wind, the road is cleared, etc. It can be much, much worse. It's just an example of winter driving in northern Norway.

Around the time the video was filmed there were several avalanches blocking E10, bridges were closed, ferries cancelled, airports closed, etc.

This filmed at Gimsøy, driving from the east side of the island to Lillevik, a drive of about 10 km. It was filmed with an iPhone on a tripod taped to the dashboard of a Toyota Land Cruiser. Apologies for the shaking!

And: It is a bit monotonous and also a bit boring, just like driving in a snowstorm is.
