Rail Baltica's design guidelines require BIM documentation provided in IFC format. There were just a few simple requirements for transferring the data from IFC into asset register. The only out-of-the-box solution matching these requirements was provided by Esri. Vaidas presents what GIS solutions have been implemented so far and what lies ahead, what challenges the GIS faces in this mega-project. Urmas talks about GIS as an asset register in the Rail Baltica project and how BIM became the main source of information for a GIS-based register.
