What is the importance of Veni Daan?

It is belived that, the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati are appeased by the offering of Veni by South Indian women. Women who give Veni (peak) in these three rivers, according to Lord Venimadhav, will be blessed with good fortune and a long life. Along with this, children's happiness and possessions will be received in full. It is also thought that donating Veni will bring the donor and his husband eternal pleasure.

Historical Significance of Veni Daan-

All three worlds' gods, Yaksha, Nag, Kinnar, and Gandharva, have visited this shrine, according to the Prayag Mahatmya. They all gave Veni to the Brahmins while on their way here. The first of these, according to legend, was Savitri, who gave Brahma Veni equivalent to her three fingers' portion.
