We cuddled with HERDWICK SHEEP IN THE LAKE DISTRICT// As promised today is the day where we share with you something very special: We went to Yew Tree Farm in Coniston in the Lake District, a farm Beatrix Potter bought in 1930 and that is now home to Jo and Jon and their 1000 sheep. It was also used as Hill Top Farm in the film 'Miss Potter' with Renée Zellwegger. We booked a Herdwick experience to learn about farming and the Herdwick sheep that are local to the Lake District. What an amazing day!

Beatrix Potter wasn't only a children's author but also a conservationist and committed to the conservation of Herdwick sheep. Herdwicks grow very slowly and by purchasing products directly from the farmers, you are supporting sustainable fell-farming and protect the Herdwick sheep and this amazing landscape.
