Don't Sleep on Choke Tubes at the Range, Shooting the Franchi Instinct SLX – Ultimate Upland

Most shooters head to the clay range with wide open chokes in order to maximize their chances at breaking clays and improving scores. But we like to practice to become better hunters so here's a quick tip for the chokes we're using at the range. (That's why you'll also see us practicing on the skeet range instead of the sporting clays course -- the bulk of upland shots are quartering away or straight away).

Most of these things we do without thinking. But since we've been instructing more and more people in how to prepare for wild birds, we try to slow things down and explain how we practice and prepare for the season.

We try to take out as many variables as possible when practicing so that we can focus on becoming better shooters. Even this brand new Franchi Instinct SLX 20 Gauge, first time shooting it.
