In this video we will go over how to train your puppy or dog on a bell for potty training.
Step 1: In step one, we want to teach your dog to touch the bell with his nose. We do not want him to use his paws!
When we are teaching your puppy to touch the bell with his nose, we want to reward the slightest touch.
Step 2: Once your dog knows how to touch the bell with his nose, we will move on to step two. In step two we will put our dog in a kennel. We will take them out and walk them near the door. As soon as they touch the bell, we will allow them to go out. We will do this for a few days until your dog understands that when he touches the bell, he is allowed to go outside.
Step 3: Once your dog has mastered step one and two, we can move on to step three. In step three, your dog is able to be out in the house. It is a good idea to start them in a room in the house and go from there.
