with recreyo finally concluding its run after so long, what better way was there to say our goodbyes, than to do one last project to end this all?

writing this right now, im not that emotional but I know it’s still going to hit me later. recreyo has gotten me through so much even if i came in late, because somehow, in that short amount of time, I’ve met so many people that I cherish and memories that I will always hold dear — and it was all because of Recreyo.

from chaotic voice calls with the members, to finally meeting them in-person at anime nyc 2023, recreyo has genuinely given me new experiences in life that I am forever grateful for. without them, I wouldn’t have met so many friends, and probably wouldn’t have even started animating again. I know it’s cheesy, but they really were a great inspiration, and to even know them will have been the greatest of honors.

this might be embarrassing to read considering that they were just a channel, but maybe that’s okay. maybe it doesn’t matter what anyone else may think. maybe all that matters is that there’s at least one person out there who can relate. because to that one person: that person who muses over every episode of this podcast, who excitedly brags to their friends because a recreyo member directly responded to them in the discord, and whose life was made even just the slightest bit better becuase of this channel:

i want you to know that i feel the same, and that i hope that somehow, this little message and video, will give you closure.

thank you recreyo for the nights that I spent hours on voice call, just because of you. thank you recreyo for the sudden spikes in art inspiration. thank you recreyo for giving me a chance to travel the world just so i could see frugal aesthetic in real life. thank you recreyo for being the one constant in my life that i could fixate upon.

thank you recreyo for being a comfort that no other YouTubers have ever given me before.

and extendedly, thank you as well to my friends who had participated in the map. the friends that im so glad i met. you are the reasons why recreyo has managed to make such a big impact on my life, and words like “i love you” will not even come close to the feelings that I truly have. even if you may not think so, im forever grateful that recreyo has caused our paths to cross over, and i hope that we still be friends even when we pave our own road beyond what was just a common interest. that even when we leave this era of ourselves behind, our lives won’t be separated.

this is quinn/ taren/ queubee/ tarenitdown, saying my final goodbyes to what really brought everyone here. whether you stay or not after this is up to you, but i will still forever hold this time of our lives, temporarily shared together, closely to my heart.
