Why does NO ONE play as the BEST TRADE NATION?

EU4 Novgorod is one of the best trading nations in EU4. Thanks to it's position in the novogorod trade node and nice national ideas, you can easiliy become the richest nation in the game before forming EU4 Russia and going on an absolute rampage. That being said, you do need to actually survive the initial EU4 muscovy war which is no easy task. Let me know, is this the best trade nation in EU4?
