It’s been a while since we’ve made a trip out trackside. In fact, it’s been a very long time since we’ve been trackside at Lake Forest, IL on the CP C&M Subdivision. But the previous attempts weren’t a success due to inclement weather. Luckily, the weather conditions weren’t showers and thunderstorms. We had sunny conditions for most of the day before the clouds came rolling through during the last couple hours. While we were there, the action wasn’t the best. The commuter trains dominated while only a total of three freight trains were able to come through. There was a lot of flooding up north so that might be the reason of only a couple freight trains going through. But you know what they say, it’s better than nothing. Overall, it wasn’t our best day out there but at least we still found another “Highlight of the Day” and that’s all it matters. This marked the last video for the month of August as we’re gonna be very busy throughout the month of September.
