This song was really hard to record, for the deep emotional weight it carries in relation to the game. It's also a beautiful composition in itself and I tried to express that with dynamics, breath, pronunciation. A lot of what the main characters feel is left unsaid, and I always saw this song as a way to make us feel what they feel, in a kinda indirect but really powerful way. Hopefully, we managed to convey a bit of that, beyond language and notes.
Kain's guitarwork is also stunning as usual. Considering the song was originally written for piano, adapting it for an acoustic setting was quite the challenge.
I guess this is where I remind you all that this is part of our "Pillow Covers" series, which is supposed to be focused on laid-back arrangements and minimum effort. We keep failing on that front.
