Описание к видео Labour of Love II - Infrastructure Planning

As you may know if you have listened to episode number 136 of Sam Stafford's podcast there was something of gap between it and episode number 135 and to help catch up with everything in between, which was a lot, Sam Stafford invited some friends of podcast old and new to discuss some of the policy areas of most interest to them.

Nine conversations were recorded, elements of which formed part of episode number 136, but Sam is publishing them all in full here on the YouTube channel.

This is the third of the nine and is a conversation between Claire Petricca-Riding, Gilian MacInnes, Sarah McLaughlin and Robbie Owen about infrastructure planning.

Claire is Head of Planning & Environment at Irwin Mitchell; Gilian has her own consultancy advising local authorities on infrastructure planning and delivery and planning service management; Sarah is Head of Growth and Infrastructure, Hertfordshire County Council and Robbie is Head of Infrastructure Planning and Government Affairs at Pinsent Masons.

Their conversation takes in what is and is not in the Planning & Infrastructure Bill, including reference to the Banner Review, the overlap between infrastructure planning and the return of strategic planning and the funding landscape.

Look out for the other eight conversations, which Sam will share on here in due course. They will feature conversations about devolution, strategic planning and local government reorganisation; CPO, land value capture and benchmark land value; modernising planning committees; development and nature restoration; Grey Belt; statutory consultees; design and placemaking; and the flood risk sequential test.

Please do keep in mind, Viewers, that 50 Shades of Planning is by planners and for planners and so if you would like to use this channel for sharing anything you think that the sector needs to be talking about then do please feel free to get in touch with Sam via [email protected].
