Heritage Audio has managed to squeeze a Fairchild 670 inspired tube compressor into a two space 500 Series enclosure! The Grandchild is a more affordable design that takes a lot of the tube and transformer features we love about the 670 and makes it more obtainable to the masses. I'll go through a whole song and try the Grandchild on every source, including the drum and mix bus. At the very end, we'll get to hear the cumulative effects of the compressor on everything to get a better idea of it's sound and color. "Compromise isn’t always a bad word – it makes options like the Grandchild a reality."
