Superstar 3900 (2023 Model) Export/10M Mod

Welcome to the M0OGY Radio and Antenna Review channel.
In this video of the latest Superstar 3900 transceiver I look at what is known as the export modification which opens the radio up to full frequency coverage and higher output power.

DISCLAIMER : Please note in many countries it is illegal to use modified radios on the Citizens' Band, but can be used legally by Radio Amateurs with the correct licence on the higher 10 MTR band.
But please be aware this radio doesn't cover the full band.
If you do want the radio modifying, whilst it is simple, it may pay to ask your Dealer to carry it out before fitting the Warranty labels.
The last thing you or I wish is for your Warranty to be void.
Plus currently (10/02/2023) the Version 1.01 PC program Dealers have is reported not to work correctly with a "Export Modded" radio.

Currently I intend keeping my own Superstar 3900 in the original Multi-Norm specification for use on the UK and EU frequencies only.
In future I may show the "Reed Switch" modification that is a very tidy solution , this then allows the best of both Worlds without having an ugly additional toggle switch on the rear of the chassis.
