‘He Has a Rifle’: Armed Suspect Shot Through Windshield by New Mexico Cops

Bodycam footage shows a close call between New Mexico police and an armed suspect on March 28. The Española Police Department said bystanders called 911 about a man “slumped over” in his truck while parked on the wrong side of the road. Fifty-six-year-old Hilario Baca allegedly brandished a rifle within seconds of officers arriving, leading to a non-fatal shooting. Baca now faces a single count of aggravated assault upon a peace officer. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie breaks it down.
