The Port of Málaga located in the city of Málaga, Spain is an international seaport on the Mediterranean coastline of the Costa del Sol. It holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operated port in Spain, predating Cadiz by 100 years, and is one of the oldest in the Mediterranean.

The Phoenicians founded the port they called Malaka in about 1000 BC. It was a trading port specializing in exports sourced from the surrounding countryside. Under Roman rule, the port flourished as a commercial gateway to the rest of the Roman Empire, exporting copper and lead from the mines of Ronda as well as minerals, pottery, almonds, olive oil, and wine.
