Film crew day rates: What is a good rate?

Описание к видео Film crew day rates: What is a good rate?

UPDATE Please understand that rates are always changing and going up and are different in other regions and cities. Shortly after posting this video, rates have gone up considerably in LA to $850/10 for non-union commercials for key positions (1st AC, Key Grip, Gaffer). This video is meant to give you an idea of what to expect when starting out in the film industry. It's NOT a list of all rates for every position on a film crew. There are crew members who make considerably more and considerable less. I will be turning off comments for this video. Thank you for watching and always negotiate for a higher rate if possible.

Hourly and Day Rate formulas:

(Day Rate) / (11 for 10 hour day or 14 for 12 hour day) = Hourly Rate

Example: 12 Hour Day - $250 Day / 14 = $17.85hr | 10 hour day - $200 Day / 11 = $18.18hr

Hourly Rate x (11 for 10 hour day or 14 for 12 hour day) = Day Rate

Example : 12 hour day - $17.85 x 14 = $250 Day | 10 hour day - $18.18 X 11 = $200 Day
