2020 MCLAREN 600LT SPIDER REVIEW - EXTERIOR, INTERIOR AND TEST DRIVE

The McLaren 600LT Spider was introduced in 2020 and built for one model year. McLaren never stated how many they made. I believe there is data out there suggesting there are 345 in the U.S.

The LT stands for long tail and part of McLaren’s racing heritage. This car is slightly longer, I believe 74mm, than the 570S it is based off.The 600LT is powered by a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 found in many of the McLaren cars.

This engine puts out 592hp at 7,500 rpm and 457 lb. ft. of torque from 5,500 to 6,500rpm. And, has a decent redline at 8,500 rpm.The 600LT has a 19-gallon fuel tank.

For comparison the RS had the 23.7-gallon extended tank.The starting price of a 2020 600LT Spider was $256,500. But could easily be spec’d to over $300,000.The 600LT will do 0-60in 2.8seconds and has a top speed of 201mph.

The 600LT has a carbon fiber chassis and with liquids and fuel weighs in at 3,095 lbs. or 1,404 kilogram.
