Value in Leaving a Painting Unfinished

Is there value in leaving a painting unfinished? As with so many things, the answer is...it depends. Depends on what your relationship is to the art - creator, buyer, or enjoyer. It also depends on you and what you like, as well as the experiences that shape your perspective. This video features some thoughts along these lines, including a practice example of a portrait recently that I initially felt like leaving unfinished intentionally.
