Caleb Benfield Challenge Discover Scuba Class

Lake Hickory Scuba was honored to host a Discover Scuba Class, for the participants of the Caleb Benfield Challenge (An annual week long event in honor of the fallen firefighter).At this challenge Future Firefighters under the age of 18 move into Bethlehem Fire & Rescue and are immersed in all things dealing with fire and rescue including Scuba Diving. A special thanks goes out to Divemaster Jon Fox, Public Safety Divers Corey Gilchrist and Lukas Adams, and Rescue Diver Bob Benfield. These individuals served as an extra set of eyes for the Instructor and made sure everyone stayed safe. We would also like to thank the YMCA of Hickory for donating their facilities for this worthy cause.
