Shofuso: A look inside a Japanese Garden House and Culture

Welcome to the Channel! We have showed you some Indian Culture & Hinduism. We gave you some insight into the Amish Culture and their Communities... On this week's Adventure we decided to head to Japan to show you some Japanese Culture!

Just kidding... We did not head to Japan... But if you didn't know any better when you step into the Majestic Japanese Garden House that is known as Shofuso, you may think you truly are in Japan!

Shofuso, nestled right outside of Philadelphia in Fairmount Park, is a beautiful example of a 1950's quintessential Japanese Garden Home. This home was originally built in Kyoto Japan to be the 3rd home in the Garden Home Exhibit in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

Touring this beautiful home, it's no secret how it quickly became the most popular home in the exhibit! Once exhibit finished, it was decided this home would be moved to Philadelphia in Fairmount Park to compliment the already established and growing Japanese Culture in and around Philadelphia.
