The Pippa Project - S2000 Powered Haynes Roadster - Converting a Downflow radiator into a Crossflow

Описание к видео The Pippa Project - S2000 Powered Haynes Roadster - Converting a Downflow radiator into a Crossflow

This week on the Pippa Project - S2000 Powered Haynes Roadster, I'm finally upgrading the cooling system. To do this i'm converting the current downflow radiator to a crossflow. Doing this should improve the cooling system efficiency by around 5-10% A downflow radiator has the pressure relief cap on the hot/high pressure side of the radiator. A crossflow radiator has the pressure relief cap on the cold/low pressure side of the radiator. by placing the cap on the low pressure side the cooling system can reach higher pressures on the hot side before the cap opens. This means more cooling happens before the cap operates. This was one of the original goals of the pippa project until the head gasket blew then that became the priority. Hopefully the cooling system will now be sufficient to cools Pippa's Honda S2000 engine.
