In this adventurous episode, my daughter and I take a trip to Leadville for a day of dog sledding at Alpine Adventures Dog Sledding in Leadville, Colorado!

Leadville is a small mountain town that was a silver mining town during the gold and silver rush. It was the largest city in Colorado back then, second to Denver. Pretty crazy what the gold rush changed for this area.

We take some time to visit Leadville, walking around downtown, then head on over to Alpine Adventures Dog Sledding to drive the dogs around with their sled! My daughter rode in the sled while I mushed the dogs - they mostly just followed their trainer :) We had a great time watching the dog butts bouncing along in front of us while taking in the majestic scenery around us in such a beautiful valley.
