Reliance Jio Infocomm, the telecom unit of Reliance Industries Ltd. is set to go public in the first half of 2026, Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said at the company’s Annual General Meeting on Friday, August 29.

Reliance Industries AGM 2025 Live Updates: The 48th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Ltd. has begun, with Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani beginning his address to shareholders. A month ahead of the AGM, shares of Reliance Industries are down 2%. The street is looking forward to some announcements with regards to the IPO timeline of Jio and the retail business. Reliance Industries CMD Mukesh Ambani had first hinted at a Jio IPO back in 2019, stating that both Jio and Reliance Retail would be moving towards a public listing within five years. However, this has been pushed back as the company further intends to strengthen the business. For the new energy business, clarity on timelines, earnings potential, and the contribution of the business to the company's financials will be some of the key factors to keep an eye out for. Scaling of digital services of 5G subscriber, broadband, partnership with SpaceX are also some points to take note of.
