Kanyakumari is at the southern most end of Main land India. Only place in main land India where both sunrise and sunset can be seen over the horizon of the ocean.

Its a small town and this is famous for Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Its a 10 mins Ferry ride from Kanyakumari Beach Jetty. And the ride cost to & fro is Rs. 75/-.

The memorial is a very nice & peaceful place. Very beautiful and surrounded by Indian Ocean.
There is a Parvati Temple on the memorial. Her foot sign is there in the temple.

We stayed in Hotel Seaface. The memorial and the statue of Tiruvallavavur is visible from the room window.

Sunrise in Kanyamumari is a worth. After this we headed towards Kovalam Beach.
From Kanyakumari, Kovalam beach is 2 hr drive. One can do a day trip from Kanyakumari to Kovalam and Varkala.

India has almost everything from Nature. On the northern side we have the Great Himalayas.
It gives beautiful Alpine Meadows and Alpine forest like in Kashmir Valley in Srinagar and Pahalgam and some in Himachal Pradesh like Solang , Kullu, Manali etc and others in Uttarakhand. In the south we have beaches starting from Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh and Oddisa. Southern Platue also have beautiful western and eastern ghat mountain ranges which has beautiful medows and grass carpet over the hills. Some off the great water falls are in the western ghat like Jog Falls, Athirapally falls etc ..

Eastern India ( Specifically Northeast we call) host the pristine beauty of Bramhaputra river basin and part of Himalaya mountain ranges. The wettest place on earth ( Mawsymram ) is in Meghalaya near to Shillong. Even the cleanest village of ASIA is in this state. And many more ..
