This day started as a charity flight and nearly ended in disaster. Dogs on runways and airplanes don't mix well, check it out!

One of the greatest things about being a pilot/owner of an airplane is the ability to give back to my community in a way that only an aircraft can do, in this case supporting the DART, EVAC and West Coast GA Response Plan teams. A training drill was set for last Saturday, over the "Bomb Cyclone" weekend, I kept Ginger in the hangar and missed my first drill. Undeterred, Ginger and I did the drill on our own, delivering 25 pounds of food to KOKH where we were met by an Oak Harbor Food Bank volunteer.

As the title of this video says, there's a "special" ending to this flight. In all my years of flying I've NEVER had a landing like this one. Definitely worth watching!! (No animals were hurt in the production of this video - I LOVE dogs, even when they almost kill me!!).
